Position Description:

The Chief Pilot provides Flight Department management, project flight scheduling, flight crew scheduling, aircraft assignment and utilization with the objective of providing the highest quality product at the highest level of safety for the lowest cost to the company. 

• Work with Flight Acquisition Manager and Operations management to meet Operational objectives including weather monitoring, production scheduling and metrics.
• Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers
• Assure thorough compliance of staff to safety and FAA regulations while delivering high quality output, on a cost effective basis
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with regional FAA organizations and FBOs
• Hire, test and train pilots and manage their performance
• Ensure the delivery of flight safety training
• Assist in the development and management of department budget
• Serve as a backup pilot for local flights and as needed to supplement production
• Out of town deployment for as much as 15 days, as needed
• Resides in or willing to relocate to the St. Louis metropolitan area

Requirements and Success Factors:

• Minimum of 10 years management experience. Chief Pilot experience preferred.
• Valid FAA Pilot's certificate, FAA Second class medical and flight currency
• Valid Driver's License and Passport
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds of equipment and supplies
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment, random and post-accident drug tests
