Full Stack Developer

Surdex Corporation is an innovative market leader who has provided geospatial data services to the public and private sector for 65 years.  We develop mapping and data management solutions for economic and industrial development, land use, planning, emergency response systems, resource management, tax assessment, and health and human services. 

Our commitment to leading edge technology and progressive solutions has generated the need for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our R & D team.  The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for winform and command line application development to facilitate automation, increase efficiency, and provide production status.  Primary development will be in C# .Net and SQL with some C++. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code using best practices
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Monitor security notices and keep software current
• Provide scope and outline for new application developments and enhancements
• Become familiar with and support existing applications

Required education, skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree or relevant work experience
• 5+ years of applications development experience
• Strong work experience in C# and SQL
• Will follow and suggest best practices for development
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools

Desirable Knowledge and Experience:

• Visual Studio
• Schema design
• C++
• 3D rendering (DirectX, OpenGL)
• Geospatial knowledge
• Image processing experience
• Strong math skills
• Web (Angular, HTML, ASP.Net)

Our R & D team works on-site in our Chesterfield, MO location. The team currently is working from home. Local candidates are preferred; however, working remotely within the U.S. will be considered.
