Geospatial Orthophotography Analyst

The Analyst will work closely with the Image Processing Director, subject matter expert and technical staff to generate orthoimagery product data in accordance with project specifications. Responsibilities include executing, documenting and improving quality initiatives, process improvement, ensuring project schedules are maintained and training team members.
Essential Functions
- Communicates regularly with Ortho Product Leader, Director of Image Processing, and other department supervisors about orthophoto project schedules and deliverables.
- Assists with implementation of various phases of production for Ortho and Imagery products
- Performs Quality Control and Assurance of Ortho and Imagery products at a high level
- Assists Product Leader and Director with project organization and management
- Assists with training and providing feedback to technical staff for efficiency and process compliance
- Identifies and effectively recommends alternative solutions to resolve complex issues
- Assists with ISO project documentation, work instructions and training of processes
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Remote Sensing or Geospatial program
- 5+ years' experience of imagery analysis, Orthophoto data production and quality control
- Strong ESRI skills and or ESRI certification
- Strong knowledge of orthorectification processes, Digital Elevation Models (DEM) and industry geospatial tools
- Ability to manage large amounts of project data and database management
- Adept communicator with various levels of team members and department leadership
- High level critical thinking skills to solve complex problems and bring solutions
- Experience training others on new processes and provide feedback on quality
- Ability to work overtime during peak periods
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Geomatics or GIS
- Knowledge of various aerial sensor platforms (Leica ADS, DMC I, II, Ultracam)
- Photoshop experience
Candidates will have a background check, drug test and assessments for critical thinking.
Local candidates are preferred; however, remote work within the Midwest will be considered
